Job Description
Condustrial, Inc. is now hiring a Mechanical Engineer for an Industrial Plant in Newberry, SC.
Hours: 7am-5pm
Pay: $73K-$87K (DOE)
The Mechanical engineer is responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective designs, manufacturing processes, and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to product, production processes, methods and controls. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Priorities include project management, process improvement, problem resolution, and employee training.
Essential Functions:
- Performs research, design and development of new and sustaining products, tool design, manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment
- Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment
- Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results
- Designs, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
- Responsible for providing creative and innovative engineering solutions that aid in the resolution of field and manufacturing problems and in the maintenance and improvement of existing products
- Responsible for implementing all phases of project plans and monitoring progress per established schedule and budget targets
- Responsible for maintaining good relationships with customers, field personnel and other departments to ensure the most efficient working environment
- Provide technical support to other departments as required toward meeting the needs of our customers
- Performs product/ process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency improvement
- Represents engineering on cross-functional teams
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience
- A strong working knowledge of Auto Cad and/or SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, and Microsoft Word
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- The ability to mentor and lead others
- Passion and integrity with the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
- Ability to identify, communicate, and participate in process improvement opportunities (LEAN) aimed at reducing cost, improving efficiencies, and increasing customer satisfaction
- Experience with composites
- Experience with GD&T, material specification, surface finishing requirements and manufacturing techniques
- Previous experience managing projects
