Belden is looking for Mechanical Design Engineer Co-ops for Spring - Summer of 2024. This co-op Opportunity to design next generation products for a global organization, while being encouraged and measured on their ability to be innovative and contribute to design ideas.
This co-op position will take place over the spring - summer of 2024 and is located in Syracuse, NY. A housing stipend will be offered for co-ops that relocate for the position.

$23.00 - $30 per hour. The hourly rate of this co-op position is determined by the number of years of higher level education the candidate has completed at the start of the co-op.

Belden is looking for Mechanical Design Engineer Co-ops for Spring - Summer of 2024. This co-op Opportunity to design next generation products for a global organization, while being encouraged and measured on their ability to be innovative and contribute to design ideas.
This co-op position will take place over the spring - summer of 2024 and is located in Syracuse, NY. A housing stipend will be offered for co-ops that relocate for the position.
You will make an impact in the following way:
- Assist with design and development of patented connector technology and other related products within the telecommunications industry.
- Work on and manage projects from the ideation/conception phase through production.
- Develop and manage 3D models and engineering drawings utilizing SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM software.
- Participate in product design reviews as needed.Utilize 3D rapid prototyping or machining tools to create prototypes.
- Test mechanical and electrical properties to ensure quality and reliability.
What you will bring:
- Education - currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
- Knowledge/ Skills - familiarity of SolidWorks or other CAD Programs
- Knowledge/ Skills -machining principles and various engineering materials
