Mechanical Engineer

Seeking qualified candidates for the position of Sales & Technical Engineer.  This position is an integral part of the Sales Team’s objective to provide timely, accurate, functional, cost-effective solutions for customer projects and applications.  Responsible for evaluating customer requests for quotations for standard and non-standard products, including application data and specifications and then using this to select, design and quote products. Includes participating in the sales order process, and fielding incoming technical and Customer Service phone and email inquiries from customers.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of commercial HVAC installation and function. 
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel)
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks software is required.
• Customer Service related responsibilities including quotations, sales order entry and follow-up.
• Ability to learn wiring diagrams as well as the design and installation of products.

Duties and Responsibilities not limited to:

• Fields customer’s technical and Customer Service phone and email inquiries directly or through other members of the Sales team.
• Using customer input, configure and provide submittal drawings (using CAD software) of HVAC accessories to fulfill customer Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
• Works with Product Manager to facilitate costing / pricing. 
• Creates and provides quotations to customers.
• Participates in the Sales order entry and order fulfillment processes.
• Along with Sales Administration, responsible for logging, tracking and archiving projects.
• Works with members of the Engineering Department staff to ensure that subsequent designs comply with those quoted.
• For awarded projects, provides relevant specifications and details to Engineering, Production and Materials departments to ensure each is fully informed of project scope.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels within the company and customer contacts.  Strong time management, presentation & communication skills required.
• Experience with documentation systems for design and design revision tracking.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
