Be responsible for the mechanical design layout, test, and release of ALATAS Americas products.
2D AutoCAD, and 3D CAD/Modeling using Solidworks.
With support of other engineering disciplines, design and document cost effective mechanical parts and assemblies to support product development.
Work with our Engineering team to develop new products as well as production methods.
Work with our Business Development team on bid & proposal activity.
Initiate prototype builds and manage product characterization. You will design evaluation hardware and characterization fixtures, then direct or perform measurements.
Job Qualifications (Required):
5+ years of 3D modeling experience using Solidworks, PTC Creo or similar (Solidworks preferred).
5+ years of 2D drafting and creation of manufacturing drawings.
5+ years of structural design and layout.
Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance per ANSI Y14.5
Familiarity with MathCad.
Familiarity with PDM (Product Data Management) systems.
Hands-on troubleshooting experience.
Good communication, organization and documentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build long lasting partnerships. Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Familiar with industry standards such as ABS, API, DNV
Familiar with cranes construction and repairs a big plus
Over-time as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $27.00 per hour
