We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Designer level II or III will be selected based on knowledge and experience.
This position acts as a mid-senior level technical expert for the Mechanical Design Section within Power Generation Engineering. The position will provide design services and support to the Power Generation Business Unit. Services and support include review and production of complex process/mechanical design packages, P&ID's, operation & flow diagrams, equipment layout & detail drawings, and redline & as-built drawings. The position will coordinate and work with 3rd party consultants on a regular basis. The successful candidate will provide guidance and mentorship to other designers & drafters. This position requires work in office as well as travel to sites when needed.
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for consideration for this job include the following:
Designer II: 3+ years of experience in power generation/utility industry.
Designer III: 5+ years of experience in power generation/utility industry.
- Knowledge of mechanical, process, and electrical engineering design principles.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, related codes, and standards.
- Knowledge of manual and electronic drafting principles.
- Ability to read, interpret, and produce complex design drawings. Strong math, reading, & writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and solve problems.
- Knowledge of field measurement techniques (measuring, field locating, surveying, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to use Bentley MicroStation, Bently ProjectWise, and Autodesk AutoCAD software packages.
- Ability to use Microsoft office, excel, word, etc.
- Excellent communication skills.
Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Associate
Preferred Discipline(s): Mechanical/Structural/Electrical/Industrial Design, Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology
