Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in the design of emergency generator fuel tanks and sound attenuated enclosures
•
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools for 2D/3D modeling, simulation, and analysis
•
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards
•
Experience with structural analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid flow simulations using relevant software
•
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and codes (e.g., NFPA, ASME, ANSI) related to fuel storage and generator enclosures
•
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and make data-driven design decisions
•
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients
•

Responsibilities
•
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and engineering emergency generator fuel tanks and sound attenuated enclosures
•
Your primary focus will be on creating robust, efficient, and innovative designs that meet industry standards and client requirements
•
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, manufacturing personnel, and project managers, to ensure successful product development and delivery
•
Design and develop emergency generator fuel tanks and sound attenuated enclosures, considering factors such as structural integrity, functionality, safety, and ease of manufacturing
•
Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate the fuel tanks and enclosures with the generator systems, ensuring proper fit, clearances, and accessibility
•
Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools to create detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and specifications
•
Conduct feasibility studies and analysis, including stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid flow simulations, to optimize designs and identify potential issues
•
Evaluate materials and components for suitability and compatibility with fuel storage, sound insulation, and environmental conditions
•
Work closely with manufacturing personnel to address design for manufacturability (DFM) considerations, resolve production issues, and ensure efficient and cost-effective fabrication processes
•
Perform testing and validation of prototypes and final products, collaborating with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications
•
Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements related to emergency generator fuel tanks and sound attenuated enclosures
•
Provide technical support and guidance to project managers, sales teams, and clients during the product development lifecycle
•
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, improve existing products, and support continuous improvement initiatives
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
