Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer III for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.

Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mechanical Engineer to support the 1LMX/DX MBD Initiatives.   The position requires working across Engineering disciplines and supporting several cross functional small teams in support of hardware classification and requirements definition across the system with respect to Mechanical Engineering.  A task and focus area being the identification, definition, and establishing common global hardware library across all system component items. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

4 years or more experience with CREO

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

Desired to have experience with Agile Mythology and related software tools of Jira and Confluence.  

Additional sought is experience with understanding and decomposition of Customer requirements for the definition and classification of hardware. 

Proficient in PTC Windchill, 3D CAD (PTC Creo preferred) and MS Office tools. 

Beneficial yet not required to be knowledgeable with Model Based Definition (MBD) and Model Based Enterprise (MBE).   

Experience with 3D model design, interacting with a design team, drawing definition release, supplier support, manufacturing and quality liaison, material review board, and understanding of project programmatics for schedule and cost accounting. 

Preferred to have an understanding for manufacturing and inspection practices and methods.

Accredited Bachelor's Degree

Hourly pay rate is $53.00-$58.00
