SalaryThe Role:
As a Mechanical Designer, the candidate should demonstrate a strong working knowledge of
Electro-Mechanical Product Development like LV/MV Switchboards/Switchgears & have hands-on experience on 3D modelling from the preliminary concept sketch using SolidWorks or Inventor. He/ She should be able to communicate well with Customer and Senior team members.
You are expected to:
- Electromechanical engineer with strong experience in designing LV/MV/HV –
Switchboards/Switchgears/Substations/E-houses.
- Expertise in Designing Metal Enclosed and Metal Clad switchboards & switchgears.
- Application knowledge on IP/NEMA codes and standards.
- Good awareness on arc resistant regulatory standards and test requirements.
- Have hands-on experience with Sheetmetal design.
- Practical knowledge on DFM/DFA.
- Should be good with design calculations, structural and thermal analysis.
- Have hands-on experience in Mechanical Design and a minimum of 4-8 + years’ experience in tools like Solid works/Inventor/Creo etc.
- Understand the Requirement, correspond with the Team and Interact with the Clients.
- Communicate and interact well with the customer and team members from remote locations for design clarification.
You will be the Right Fit if you have:
- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering Degree.
- 4-8 years in Switchgear product design and detailing with minimum 4+ years in
Designing.
- 3D CAD skills-Specifically Solidworks or Inventor.
- Application knowledge on material selection for Conductive, Non-conductive, and
Insulating parts.
- Exposure to FAT (added advantage)
- Shop floor experience preferably with Sheetmetal fabrication units will be an added advantage.
- Pro-efficient with standards like UL/IEC/IEEE/ANSI/CSA…
- Exposure to electrical distribution and control products like ACB, MCB, MCCB,
Switches and contactors.

Renumeration: Not a constraint for the right candidate.
