Location:

Metallurgical Complex (Smelter) - Columbus, MT

Schedule:

Rotating - 5x4x4x5

Day Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm

Night Shift: 6:00pm - 6:00am

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Proven safety record.
• Repair and service equipment such as pumps, mechanical seals, screw feeders, crushers, tower mills, hydraulics, fans, valves, and gearboxes as assigned.
• Installation and construction of new equipment and structural steel.
• Various building maintenance tasks including cleaning and repairs of operational and shop areas.
• Layout, cutting, welding and fabrication.
• Proficient at GTAW of 316L SS pipe.
• Proficient at SMAW of pipe and structural steel.
• Assist operations as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

• Proficient working knowledge of start-up and shut-down procedures of equipment.
• Experience with the use of overhead cranes.
• Ability to perform preventative and repair maintenance.
• Knowledge of rigging (lifting) procedures.
• Knowledge of pipefitting (316L SS & Steel), pumps, valves, hydraulics, and schematics.
• Knowledge of process flows.
• Ability to work in a team setting positively and productively.
• Must supply own hand tools.
• Able to pass 1" 5G welding test.
• Successful completion of the Met Complex Mechanical Application Test.

Preferred:

• GTAW and SMAW certified or ability to obtain.
