Job Description
Supports Client’s Thousand Oaks Dispensing Team by performing tasks associated with picking, dispensing, and issuing of materials required to produce a biopharmaceutical product. The position requires strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs), safe weighing of chemicals, use of validated computer systems, ability to accurately complete documentation, make calculations and perform physical tasks associated with large scale pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- The team meets each morning in a team huddle and reviews the daily workload.
- Division of labor is primarily between a picking team which gathers material from the warehouse, and a dispensing team which performs material take-outs (Non-Weighed and Weighed operations).
- EWs rotate through both the picking and weighed dispensing roles.
- The first two weeks involve a large amount of SOP reading, warehouse familiarization, and training.
- A new hire is typically trained to full competency in 6 to 9 months.
Must Have Skills:
- Experience working in GMP classified spaces
- Experience with material movement equipment
- Experience using table top and floor scales, and other weighing equipment
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience working in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Chemical Industries
- Must be able to lift 35lbs and push/pull heavy loads using material handling equipment
- Must be willing to operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) Solid math skills
- Understanding of GMPs and SOPs MS Office familiarity
- Physically capable and comfortable working in cold environments, and comfortable working at heights up to 25 feet.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Polished GMP professional with Warehousing, Dispensing, Manufacturing or Quality experience
- Experience operating Powered Industrial Vehicles SAP/MES experience and knowledge Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
- Strong communication skills Familiar with scales & weighing Familiarity with chemical handling & PPE.
Compensation:
The pay rate range above is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
