Mazak Lathe Programmer/Operator

Job title: Mazak Lathe Programmer/Operator 

Summary/objective: Eagle Industrial Group (EIG) is looking for a Mazak Lathe Programmer & Operator to add to their day-shift team! All programming will be done via Mazatrol at the machine. EIG will provide training in all aspects of print reading, machining, and more! This is an ideal opportunity for those with limited experience looking for opportunities for growth within a company.

Essential functions: 

• Program and machine part from start to finish on Mazak Lathe CNC

• Download programs and MDI (material data information) as needed 

• Ability to perform your own programming and running your details 

• Setup and machine to the proper programs and tolerances required 

• Recheck setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed to achieve the best possible results 

• Maintain appropriate tools and keep current on calibration 

• Keep work area clean 

• Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management 

• Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours 

• Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required 

Required competency, education, and experience:  

• At least 1-3 years of experience programming and operating CNC mills 

• Knowledge of Tool and Die 

• A well-rounded knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds 

• Candidate must have high school or equivalent education 

• Candidate must have valid driver’s license 

Preferred competency, education, and experience: 

• Ability to read prints 

• Knowledge and understanding of GD&T 

Work environment: Manufacturing environment 

Physical demands:  

• Candidate must have full use of all limbs. 

• Candidate must be able to read and speak English. 

• Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds. 

Position type and expected hours of work: Full time, day shift. Day shift schedule: M-F, 47-50 hours per week. 

Travel: None.
