Located in the vibrant San Gabriel Valley, our group of Mathnasium Learning Centers is dedicated to shaping the future of young minds through personalized math education. Position Overview: As the Center Director, you must be extremely motivated to enroll new students and keep current customers happy. This pivotal role focuses primarily on sales & customer service - introducing our program to potential customers, informing them on how our program can meet their child's needs, and enrolling students before their math troubles get any worse. The Center Director drives the growth and success of our program by effectively communicating its value proposition and benefits to prospective families. Your ability to build relationships, articulate our program's unique features, and close sales will be essential to achieving our mission and expanding our reach within the community. Responsibilities: Below are the areas that you would be responsible for. We wouldn't expect you to be an expert in everything listed below - and, we will provide the tools and the training for you to succeed.
- Sales & Leads: Deliver a compelling sales message to parents, showcasing the value of our personalized approach to math education
- Center Operations: Manage daily operations, including a team of about a dozen team members, to ensure smooth session activities
- Team Leader: Lead a team of Instructors, empowering them to deliver high-quality instruction that aligns with Mathnasium methodology
- Student Management: Administer Mathnasium curriculum through thorough student assessment, personalized learning plans, and diligent progress documentation
- Communicator: Foster strong communication with parents, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring student retention
- Marketing / Networking: Conduct marketing and networking activities to raise awareness and promote the center's services
- Administration: Meet with other managers regularly to coordinate efforts and ensure alignment with organizational goals & objectives; complete administrative tasks efficiently and effectively to support center operations
Qualifications - Required:
- Demonstrated leadership experience, and proven success in such a role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for building relationships within the community
- Readiness to engage in proactive communication, including up to 30 outbound calls per day to connect with current customers and potential student families
- Dedication to student success and a genuine love for working with people
- Strong organizational abilities, including effective time management and multitasking skills
- Detail-oriented with a drive to achieve goals and exceed expectations
- Ability and willingness to follow directions when policies & procedures are given
- Ability and willingness to solve problems on your own when unforeseen challenges arise
- Proficiency in math up to Algebra I
Qualifications - Preferred:
- Previous experience working with students or families, or a professional commitment to education
- Proficiency in high-school level math, enabling effective support for advanced students
- Tech savvy, with a familiarity with QuickBooks to facilitate efficient administrative tasks
