IntelliBricks Center Director Job Description
IntelliBricks is a thriving organization that offers STEM enrichment classes throughout the greater Sacramento area. With engaging programs ranging from Lego Robotics to Digital Drawing, our hands-on approach has captivated and inspired young learners across more than 60 locations.
We are currently seeking mature, responsible, and outgoing individuals to join our team as Center Directors. This presents an excellent opportunity for high school seniors and students pursuing degrees in various fields, including Teaching, Science, Engineering, Math, Art Studio, Art History, Museum Studies, Marketing, Business, Education, or Graphic Design, to gain valuable teaching experience.
IntelliBricks Center Directors must be available 4-5 days a week, Monday to Friday between 1:30 to 6 PM. Their primary responsibility involves leading STEM enrichment after-school classes at one school every weekday. Salary and Benefits:
- Paid training with comprehensive lesson plans provided
- Part-time position
- Mileage reimbursement
- Instructor compensation: $19 to $21 per hour for 4–5-hour work shifts per day
- Reimbursement for storing class materials
Center Director Responsibilities
- Teaching the lesson according to the provided lesson plan
- Assisting children with Lego building, SCRATCH Coding, or drawing as per the subject being taught
- Ensuring safe sign-in and sign-out procedures for students
- Setting up and cleaning up before and after each class
- Providing a secure storage space for materials at the Center Director's residence
- Charging all laptops and preparing them for the next day's class
- Weekly check-in online with the IntelliBricks office
Desired Qualifications
- Passionate about Legos, coding, and/or drawing
- Minimum one year of experience working with children aged 5 to 12 preferred
- Ability to manage a classroom of 12-16 children
- Energetic and outgoing personality
- Punctual, reliable, and flexible
- Must own reliable transportation and provide a copy of Driver’s License and Proof of insurance once hired
- Ability to pass a background check
- Willingness to travel to elementary schools in your city and surrounding cities
- Must provide a safe place to store class materials including Legos and laptops
- Ability to lift upto 60 lbs
