Glendale Unified also offers six magnet schools focused on technology, world languages, and visual and performing arts, and a wide variety of Career and Technical Education pathways beginning in middle school. Through a collaborative partnership with Glendale Community College, Glendale Unified offers students multiple opportunities to earn college credit before they graduate from High School, including our Hoover Early College Academy and Glendale High Cloud Computing and Computer Science Academy. Job Summary
This position teaches math at the High School level. Some positions require a foundational math credential, while others may require a full math credential.
Requirements / Qualifications
Credential Required: Applicants must hold a valid California Single Subject Math Teaching Credential (either foundational math or a full credential depending on the position)
English Learner Authorization: Applicants must also hold a valid English Learner Authorization such as a CLAD, ELA1, ELAM, ELAS, ELAE, or similar authorization for designated English Language Development instruction or integrated instruction to English Learners.
Glendale Unified is seeking dynamic educators who exhibit:
• Effective skills in working with English Learner (EL) students
• Strong pedagogical skills
• Breadth of experience in educational technology
• Instruction with a 21st Century perspective

• Three letters of recommendation (preferably within the last six months and from at least one direct supervisor)

• Proof of passing of (California Basic Educational Skills Test) CBEST or equivalent

Once the District has tentatively offered employment, a candidate must submit evidence of freedom from tuberculosis, pre-employment physical exam (district-paid), and fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice. Applicants will also be required to provide official transcripts from relevant coursework to determine salary placement.
Comments and Other Information
The District provides the most substantial benefits package of all school districts in Los Angeles County, including employee and dependent health, dental, and vision coverage. In addition, the District provides an Induction Program to clear preliminary credentials.
