Job Description
The Instructor, Math Lab will provide assistance on math-related curriculum as the primary point of contact for learner support within the Nightingale College Math Lab. The incumbent will assist in monitoring lab usage and maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in computer and mathematics fields related to computer-assisted instruction.
Role and Responsibilities:- Assists in the creation and development of Math Lab content that supports instructional program and promotes learning.
- Participates in one-on-one and group tutoring as well as hosting webinars.
- Monitors lab usage and produce lab usage reports on a regular basis.
- Maintain knowledge of current technology used in the implementation of tutoring and learner communication.
- Communicates repair and update needs with appropriate parties.
- Instructs resource courses as required.
- Participates in the successful implementation of other functional projects as they arise.
- A bachelor's degree in mathematics, from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education.
- Demonstrates at least 18 credit hours devoted to mathematics.
- Demonstrated experience in education, preferably in an online higher education setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology to facilitate videos and other instructional tools to provide learners with math-related resources.
All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will pay for travel and lodging accommodations.
