Limited X-ray Technology Lab Instructor PT
Location: Lehi, UT
Status: Part-time
Hours: Tuesday /Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Pay / Hourly: $17
SUMMARY
As a Lab Instructor for the Limited X-ray Technology Program, you will play a crucial role in the education and training of the next generation of Limited X-ray Technologists. You will provide hands-on instruction for the students in the lab, fostering an environment that encourages student engagement, critical thinking, and skill development. This position involves collaboration with the classroom instructor, staying up to date with industry standards, and ensuring students are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills required for success in the field of radiography.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the instructor to design, develop, and deliver instructional materials for each lab course.
- Oversee and manage the Radiography Technology laboratory, ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment.
- Coordinate the setup, maintenance, and calibration of radiographic equipment and simulation tools.
- Maintain a level of cleanliness in the lab and teach the students how to warm up and shut down the lab
- Provide appropriate instruction on radiographic techniques, patient positioning, and equipment operation.
- Supervise and guide students during hands-on lab sessions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
- Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student comprehension and proficiency.
- Provide constructive feedback to students, addressing areas for improvement and recognizing achievements.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Have and maintain a current ARRT Radiologic Technologist License, RT (R) or DOPL RPT licensure DOE.
- Current DOPL Radiologic Technologist License in the state of Utah
- Previous teaching or instructional experience is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
- Proficient in utilizing radiographic equipment and simulation tools.
- Preferred applicant has current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare providers
