MATERIALS/LOGISTICS MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTIONSkiltrek is looking for a Logistics & Materials Manager to work onsite out of their Kingstree, South Carolina Facility and report directly to the Plant Manager. This individual will manage purchasing, inventory, assets, and overall shipments pertaining to storing and loading materials. The day-to-day functions of this role entails things such as: physical counts/ inventories, weekly cycle counts, updating KPI's, coordinating internally with the customer sales team, and coordinating with external customers to ensure order fulfillments (do we have the product, when will it be shipped, etc). Other responsibilities include communicating freight rates, manage purchasing orders, and supervising assigned staff: 9 total direct reports consisting of 2 office personal, 6 Material Handlers, and 1 Yard Supervisor. A successful candidate will be able to maintain large data sets, calculations, and analysis for physical inventory and possess a go-getter mentality and want to lead others.REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE- High School Diploma
- 5 years' experience within logistics
- 3+ years of management/leadership experience
- Experience/working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Experience maintaining KPI's for logistics and purchasing
- Strong Experience with an ERP system (AS 400,SAP, Dynamics 365 preferred)
- Strong in ExcelNICE TO HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Mgt or related
- Experience/knowledge of Mercury Gate - (their Transportation Mgt System)
- Great familiarity with DOT rules/regulations (Legalities behind trucking)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
