Materials and Purchasing Manager

We have a client who is seeking a Materials and Purchasing Manager to become a critical part of their management team and help bring their strategic plan to reality. They specialize in short run metal stamping, producing many metal alloys with various specifications, thickness, widths, and tempers. 

 

Due to the nature of our business, candidates for this position must have significant experience in metal stamping, machining, or fabricating.

 

As the Materials and Purchasing Manager you will:

• During the first 30 days learn our systems, business model, competitive advantages, and strategic plans.
• Strengthen your team by updating the roles and responsibilities of your departments and launching a documented cross training plan within 3 months.
• Within 6 months incorporate the procurement of special processes such as plating, heat treating and grinding into your department.
• Within 12 months, propose and begin implementation of updates to our raw material inventory management system to optimize our inventory turns while keeping Work Order fulfillment greater than 85%.
