Materials Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY – The primary responsibility of this role is to manage scheduling, production, and preparation for shipment of plant products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties and responsibilities are essential to the role. Additional tasks may be assigned, and overtime may be required on a daily or weekend basis:

• Oversee warehouse operations.
• Implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Maintain inventories at agreed-upon levels set by material management.
• Lead physical inventories and assist in inventory data entry.
• Conduct cycle counts to identify and address inventory issues.
• Generate performance reports and monitor customer performance reports.
• Develop corrective actions and address challenges as needed.
• Manage the employee attendance point record system.
• Track and report employee vacations and time.
• Promote Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen techniques for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and TS16949 procedures.
• Understand and implement BIC Key performance indicators.
• Drive Lean principles, including 5S and Kaizens, within the department.
• Facilitate effective communication across shifts and departments.
• Participate in problem-solving initiatives and Kaizen projects.
• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Audit adherence to SOPs, quality standards, and HSE regulations.
• Provide training, qualification, and performance audits for teammates.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position oversees hourly employees within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this role effectively, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in warehouse/materials management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
