Responsibilities will include:
● Membrane Fabrication - company membrane fabrication is primarily conducted in a cleanroom environment in a shared facility. Tasks include operating equipment and working with the company and shared facility team to develop new fabrication protocols.
● Membrane Characterization - A combination of elemental, morphological, and spectroscopic analyses is used to characterize membranes to understand how fabrication affects function.
● System Maintenance - The upkeep and maintenance of our analytical equipment are crucial to the success of company to continually progress our technology.
Desired and preferred experience and skills:
● H.S. diploma with 5+ years of experience or Associates degree with 3+ years of experience.
● 2+ years of experience working in a chemical lab environment, including but not limited to the use of PPE, fume hoods, weighing equipment, solids and liquids handling, cleaning glassware, and chemical waste disposal
● Experience with standard cleanroom equipment (e.g., magnetron sputterer, atomic layer deposition, acid baths) considered an asset.
● Experience with sample preparation and using an inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrophotometer (ICP-OES) considered an asset.
● Experience with sample analysis equipment (e.g., UV-vis spectrophotometer, Scanning electron microscopy, optical microscopy) considered an asset.
● Comfortable working in a hands-on environment with small and/or fragile components
● Attention to detail
● Excellent scientific and technical communication skills

Salary: $30.32 - $38.00 per hour
