Job Description
Under general supervision, Materials Coordinator, efficiently and effectively provides an uninterrupted flow of supplies and equipment to support all clinical within the ambulatory surgery center. The position requires routine maintenance of inventory of raw goods within a timely and accurate fashion; monitoring of the usage of raw materials within the Supply Chain Department is required.
Functions:
Coordinates receiving, processing, distributing, and storing of goods.
Monitors par levels to ensure healthy flow throughout the supply chain.
Ensures that all packing slips are documented and delivers them to the appropriate department.
Serves as a focal point for identifying and resolving material issues (Repairs).
Maintains and coordinates the inventory system.
Selects cases for the following day using the preference cards provided.
Performs other duties as requested by management.
Travels to multiple facilities, on a need-be basis.
Assists in the following:
Financial analysis as required to support department goals;
Effectively coordinates with the clinical and business managers, administrative director, physicians and ancillary departments on all issues relating to patient care and specialty requirements and coordinates procurement of specialty equipment as indicated.
Plans, coordinates and manages all functions associated with Materials Management and Central Supply.
Skills and Qualifications:
The ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team and independently.
Strong attention to detail.
General understanding of medical supply equipment.
Requirements:
Previous 1-2 year ASC or hospital experience as a Surgical Technician required.
Previous 1-2 years ASC or hospital experience in Materials Management preferred.
Department of Justice Background Check
Satisfactory Completion of Health/Drug Screening
Proof legal of US work eligibility
Valid CA Class C Driver License
