What We Need
The Materials Coordinator is responsible for receiving, processing, transferring, kitting, and shipping materials for the organization. They ensure adequate levels of materials and inventory to meet project, department, and shipment requirements. The duties associated with this role include, receiving, tracking, sorting, organizing, issuing, and reporting on materials. This role is critical in identifying current on hand materials quickly and communicating to stakeholders. The ideal candidate is organized and customer service oriented with high attention to detail. The most successful candidate will have working experience in warehouse inventory tracking using electronic barcode devices and ERP systems.
What You’ll Do
- Receive material, verify contents against the packing slip / Purchase Order, enter into ERP, sort, label, and complete put aways
- Pick material, kit for production builds, as well as final kitting / packaging for shipment
- Inspect in-bound / out-bound material to verify conformance to specifications, including but not limited to part number, damage, unmarked parts, and proper documentation
- Packages out-bound shipments by using best commercial practices
- Review documents such as production schedules, inventory reports, released work orders, and delivery schedules to determine material requirements and priorities
- Document and monitor inventory levels using Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Organize and design the inventory areas using 5S / LEAN principles to improve flow of materials
- Conduct cycle counts, monitor inventory levels, report discrepancies, and transact material movement through ERP
- Communicate discrepancies in BOM, inventory, lead times etc., to Purchasing and/or supervisor
- Properly handle sensitive electronic components including using ESD best practices
- Maintains a well-organized and clearly labeled physical inventory of component parts and other material
- Help ensure inventory accuracy within Materials and Production
- Review shortages for upcoming production builds and shipments
- Deliver and pickup local inventory
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Qualifications
- High School diploma required. Relevant business courses are highly desired
- 9-10 years of experience in manufacturing, or warehouse environment and shipping/receiving role
- Must possess a CA drivers’ license and maintain a clean driving record
- Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, knowledge of ERP systems, LEAN, 5S, and Kanban is desirable
- Proficient understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) and Work in Process (WIP)
- Must be familiar with safety best practices and safety equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or previous certification in forklift and pallet jack operation is desired.
- 3+ years shipping and receiving experience

What We Offer
Salary Range - $25 / hour - $35 / hour
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
