Job Summary:
The Principal Plan Prod Control Specialist works to achieve operational targets with significant and long-lasting impact on departmental results. Contributes to the successful completion of major projects or processes. Works independently under limited supervision. Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The successful candidate will work to enable decision making and collaboration across a variety of functions and program areas through data analysis, simulation, and fact-based influence. The individual in this role will need to quickly develop credibility and influence, while leveraging strong interpersonal and leadership skills to align floor demand execution to operational plans with supply chain strategies and financial targets and meet critical customer deadlines. She or he will be responsible for developing and driving strategic business decisions needed to align cross-functional priorities, mentoring and training of personnel. She or he will work closely with Production Control, Program Operations, Factory Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program counterparts. The successful candidate must be able to coordinate activities between numerous groups and clearly communicate program material status and identified risks.
This individual will be accountable for: Inventory accuracy; Supply Health Metrics; and Mitigate Supply Risk.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance 5 years professional experience in a defense manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of PRISM/ SAP
Working knowledge of MRP, production planning, procurement
Understanding of Material Requirements Planning in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Power Point)
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
