Hiring for all shifts!! $750 sign on incentive after completion of training (approximately 6 weeks), additional $1250 bonus at 1 year
Principal Functional Responsibilities:
Use a forklift to deliver in process material to a particular operation and then remove the finished material from the process to storage or to the next process. Move scrap to the holding area for recycling and waste containers to the appropriate waste container. Load or unload trucks and rail cars.
Tools and Equipment used:
Forklifts of various sizes and capacities. Sweeper or floor cleaner.
Essential Functions:
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, we have identified the following important requirements as essential to the performance of this job.
Key Requirements:
1. Operate a forklift to load, unload trucks, rail cars, and process lines, or configure stored raw materials or finished goods.
2. Assist operators to recharge their machines and remove completed material.
3. Operate a forklift to move reels and coils of cable to and from the salvage area. Move trash dumpsters outside to waste receptacles, dump and return to work areas as directed by the supervisor.
4. Clean up the work area using brooms mops and collect trash.
5. Change propane gas tanks to refuel vehicles, requiring ability to lift 50 lbs.
6. Perform other functions as required by the supervisor.
7. Read, understand, and carry out oral and written instructions.
8. Complete safety inspection of forklift or other powered equipment ensuring that the equipment is fully operational and capable of performing the assigned task.
9. Read in process tickets, finished goods tickets, and scrap tickets. Maintain logs, labels, etc. to ensure that materials are properly routed and that each process receives the correct material for the assigned produce.
10.Inspect, examine and observe for product and equipment defects.
11.Use simple arithmetic to include addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
12.Read and understand the safety requirements for the job to include personal protective equipment, chemical exposures (right-to-know) machine guarding, noise protection and ergonomics as it affects the safe operation of the equipment.
Working Conditions effecting key requirements:
This job is performed both indoors and outdoors. Safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, and ear plugs are required as part of the personal protective equipment. The temperature in the work area will approximately equal ambient temperature for the plant and may be as high as 100 F in the summer and 65 F in the winter.
Special Requirements:
Forklift experience needed. Must have good hearing and eyesight. Must be able to push or pull 100 pounds infrequently and pull or push 75 pounds routinely. Must be able to lift 50 pounds infrequently and routinely lift 25 pounds.

Salary: $17.96 - $18.85 per hour with $.35 shift differential.
