PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Material Handler is primarily responsible for ensuring that warehouse inventory is accurate, orderly and complete in accordance with the direction provided by the Material Handling Team Leader.
Essential Job Functions
- Moves and transfers inventory in Microsoft Navision system.
- Maintains paper and electronic records.
- Cycles inventory to prevent expiration of product.
- Assists with receiving incoming shipments and loading trucks for outgoing shipment, and ensuring that pallets are placed in the appropriate bin location.
- Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.
- Pulls stock requests for production
- Assists with control of stock movements.
- Assists with stocking of finished goods from kit production once released by QC/QA.
- Operates pallet jacks.
- Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Ensures the inherent safety of the warehouse facility and operations.
- Assist with other shipping and warehousing duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school degree, GED or 1 to 2 years of related experience.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office programs).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to follow written and verbal instruction.
- Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and lifting up to 50 lbs, primarily utilizing upper body extremities.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Able to push/pull pallets and carts.
- Must be able to work overtime hours as required.
