Material Handler Team Leader

Purpose and Scope 

The Material Handling Team Leader is primarily responsible for ensuring that warehouse inventory is accurate, orderly and complete. 

Essential Job Functions 

• Move and transfers inventory in Navision system
• Maintain paper and electronic records
• Cycles inventory to prevent expiration of product
• Receives incoming shipments and leads trucks for outgoing shipment, ensuring that pellets are placed in the appropriate bin location. 
• Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.
• Pulls stock requests for production
• Controls stock movements within the warehouse
• Stocks finished goods from production once released by QC/QA.
• Handles and processes shipping documentation (Bills of Laden, shipping invoices, etc)
• Operates and maintains fork trucks and pallet jacks
• Maintains the cleanliness and organizations of the warehouse
• Ensure the inherent safety of the warehouse facility and operations 
• Assist with other shipping and warehousing duties as assigned. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school degree, GED or 1-2 years of related experience
• Basic math and reading skills
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Programs)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as leadership skills. 
• Able to supervise other staff and complete all necessary paperwork associated with managing other staff. 
• Able to lead a team and develop staff abilities over time.
