SalaryRPS Material Handlers are responsible for the transport of raw materials and finished goods in preparation for production or shipment. They also assist in the organization and maintenance of existing inventory. Preference will be given to candidates who have forklift operation experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance in a fast-paced and demanding team setting
- Operate fork trucks, platform trucks, and various hand tools as needed
- Ensure the proper identification of all inventory
- Stage inventory for production or shipment
- Keep accurate records of weight and complete all documentation for inventory transfers
- Organize and maintain scrap areas
- Inspect material for contamination
- Inspect gaylords and pallets for quality assurance
- Build gaylords and secure to pallets for finished goods
- Unload finished goods from silos and prepare all finished goods for shipment
- Blend materials according to batch specifications
- Operate all loading, unloading, and blending equipment within parameters established by management
- Maintain warehouse organization and order to ensure safety and efficiency
- Comply will all safety regulations and apply good judgment to all tasks
- Communicate and collaborate with all co-workers
- Perform other tasks as directed by management
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience with forklift operation
- Basic math, reading, and handwriting skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift 60 to 100 pounds, bend, and climb
- Willing to work 12-hour shifts on a split schedule with occasional overtime
