Come join our team as a Material Handler/Driver! In this role, you will work to prepare, list and transport material to and from the Nordson East Providence, RI facility while driving company vehicles.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Load and unload trucks, deliver materials to the appropriate person or location.
- Effectively communicate with supervisors, managers and other personnel on transportation issues
- Plan and prioritize work to complete all scheduled and non-scheduled activities in a timely manner.
- Communicate inventory discrepancies to Inventory Manager
- Keep inventory well organized in the designated areas by warehouse locations.
- Represent EFD with local suppliers and customers in a safe, professional manner.
- Maintain & operate company vehicles with the utmost care and safety. Ensure cleanliness and
- Contribute to the success of team by submitting improvement ideas, identifying potential problems, providing feedback on procedure changes and by displaying a positive, cooperative attitude in working with others.
- Operate material handling equipment in a safe manner.
- Operate forklift, other lift trucks and shrink wrapper in accordance with safety standards.
- Comply with all relevant ISO procedures.

Shift Available:
- 1st Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:30am - 4:00pm
Qualifications To Be Successful:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of material handling experience in a fast-paced environment, preferred.
- Operating a company vehicle 50% of the time is a requirement for this role
- DOT Medical Certificate (health card) required
- Forklift experience is necessary
- Excellent communication skills
- Superior organizational skills
- Basic computer skills needed to accurately enter data for inventory control
- Ability to read, write & speak in English along with basic math skills (must be able to accurately count and multiply)
- Attention to detail is a must
- Must have the ability to be flexible with work schedule, including the ability to work overtime
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Estimated: 50% (Local travel is part of this job. Material transport is done via Nordson trucks.)
