Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the material handling team.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to material handlers based on workload and priorities.
Train new material handling team members on proper procedures and safety protocols.
Ensure that materials are received, stored, and distributed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks, verifying quantities and inspecting materials for damage or defects.
Coordinate with other departments to fulfill material requests and orders in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and physical counts.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed to prevent stockouts.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to material handling activities.
Enforce safety guidelines and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
Collaborate with management to implement process improvements and streamline material handling operations.
Perform regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Provide regular feedback to team members and conduct performance evaluations as needed.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM
