The Material Handler II position is responsible for moving inventory, including driving the Inventory Control truck, and maintaining proper inventory to ensure on time delivery.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for system generated automatic stock moves and stock put away
- Responsible for prepping inventory, loading it onto the Inventory Control truck, driving the truck to deliver the inventory to the Distribution Center back dock, and unloading inventory
- Responsible for driving the Inventory Control truck to offsite locations as needed
- Assist in establishing daily product movement with limited impact on other areas
- Review all computer entries for accuracy to final location
- Assist in establishing procedures that increase accuracy, accountability and production
- Cross-train in Fulfillment department to pick, sort, and/or pack orders
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment utilizing forklifts and order pickers is helpful
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with internet navigation plus the ability to learn company software is required to navigate through various screens to research stock transaction
- Good verbal communication skills are required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as stock move forms and operating and procedure manuals
- Ability to work 40 feet above the ground on an order picker
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and have very good interpersonal skills
- Work well under time and material dead lines
- Demonstrated responsible driving record is required

Physical Demands: Walking, bending, reaching, stooping, twisting and lifting up to 50 lbs. (75 lbs. on rare occasions) for up to 10 hours a day; the ability to withstand a production environment with exposure to dust, fumes and varying temperatures. Ability to safely drive the company truck and operate other power equipment. Ability to frequently move about within the department as well as within and between both buildings of the company, with reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment: Primarily non-temperature controlled warehouse environment in the range of 60 degrees to 90 degrees.
