Lead Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for all warehouse tasks, including unloading/receiving, loading/shipping, inventory organization, and work order kitting / processing, Data entry, and the ability to communicate effectively with all departments. Optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Utilizes an in-house enterprise resource system (ERP), or other systems as needed to track and analyze processes and performance.

We are looking for a highly seasoned and skilled Material Handler. this Individual, must be positive and motivated. The role may be assigned special projects.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Functions:

· Receiving, warehousing, kitting, and distribution to workstations.

· Maintains the warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion according to company safety policies and procedures.

· Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, and kitting of goods.

· Conducts counts and records shipment data into the system. Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise. Prepares packages/merchandise for storage.

· Organizes, packs, unpacks stock items, maintaining warehouse aisle/rack/bin location planning concepts.

· Examines and inspects stock items for damage, wear, and defects.

· Manage stock control and reconciles inventory.

· Plan work routes, assign tasks appropriately and evaluate results.

· Acts on feedback and monitors the quality of services provided.

· Efficiently operates forklift or other machinery to complete tasks, and regular inspection for safe operations.

· Use of a computer and peripherals for company-related email, warehouse, and customer service functions.

· Use electronic identification tools, scanners, stamps, tags, or other labeling equipment.

· Use of tools (e.g., hand tools, packing, banding, computer, and peripherals).

Education:

· High school diploma and higher education is a plus.

· 5+ years of experience in area of responsibility

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
