We're looking for an experienced Material HandlerI to support our industry leading products here at Tosoh Quartz, Inc.
As the Material Handler I, you will perform all duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering materials, equipment, and supplies.
Shift: 8am - 4:30pm, Mon-Fri
What you’ll do at Tosoh Quartz.
- Examine incoming shipments for damage and quantities and communicate with Purchasing to rectify issues.
- Review incoming and outgoing items to compare identifying information and verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Enter incoming and outgoing shipment information into the computer.
- Determine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates; prepare materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and stamping; prepare necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
- Secure cargo properly and safely with weight evenly distributed for transport.
Who you are.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to organize merchandise efficiently.
- Knowledge of computerized shipping systems and record keeping practices.
- Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages and objects in a safe manner.
- Ability to communicate professionally.
- Experience using material handling equipment in a safe manner.
