SalaryNova Biomedical is hiring a Material Handler on the Hospital Meters team in our Lexington Rd, Billerica, MA facility. The Material Handler will be responsible for:
- Movement of material to the production floor.
- Preparation of product for shipment to finished Goods.
- Equipment: Hand jack. Hand scanner. Ladder.
- Assist warehouse personnel with dock coverage and product movement and storage.
- Assist the Inventory Specialist with cycle counting.
- Work within group and with management to generate and enact continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- The ability to read documents such as transfer orders.
- The ability to use a hand scanner and computer.
- A good understanding of quality control.
- The ability to communicate effectively with supervision, quality, distribution, and manufacturing.
- Keeping inventory accurate, locations neat and organized, and the warehouse clean.
- Participation in Continuous Improvement activities.
Qualifications:
- The ability to read and speak English.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be physically fit enough to climb ladders, operate a hand jack and spend a lot of time on your feet.
Skills and Competencies:
- Physically fit.
- Good organizational skills.
- The ability to communicate with multiple departments.
- Ability to work independently, with little to no supervision.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma
- More than 1 year of relevant manufacturing or production experience.
