The job of Material Handler I is a full-time position located at our headquarters is located in Carlsbad, CA. Job SummaryAs a Material Handler, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and efficient movement of materials within a warehouse or production facility. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be critical to your success in this role.Essential Duties & Responsibilities* Maintain inventory by stocking the stockroom material from the pre-stock locations for storage using best practices.* Pulling of materials for production.* Monitor and maintain reports on material shortages, updating manager and purchasing using the Material Request Form.* Reset stockroom locations using the work center parts list.* Verifies inventory and stock control in the stockroom area * Responsible for ensuring storage areas in the stockroom housekeeping meets 5s standards. * Identify areas where process improvement is required.* Recommend or suggest a resolution to current or foreseeable problems.* Measure the Performance of team members by assisting the manager with training, monitoring new hires' progress, and communicating any issues or further training requirements to the manager. * Track the performance of the stockroom overall to ensure it's running smoothly, operating at 100% capacity, and meeting or exceeding expectations.* Ensure all stockroom team members comply with all safety measures per Pro Spot’s EHS policy.* Monitor incoming shipments and deliveries through communication with the Purchasing Department.* Utilize ERP (PLEX) generated reports to maintain knowledge of warehouse inventory and project statuses.* Assist with communicating the team's progress to the manager.* Update weekly to manage any issues within the stockroom. * Review weekly location inventory reports and inventory control reports with the manager.* Performs all job functions safely, following all established safety guidelines, policies and procedures.* Other duties as assigned.Qualifications | Competencies | Success FactorsMINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate and five years of directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and/or ABILITIES:* Understand and follow standard operating and safety procedures in materials management.* Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit within a large and/or small team environment.* Handle a high-volume workflow within a manufacturing stockroom setting.* Prioritize, work with and meet deadlines with high accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse.* Operates materials handling equipment such as; scanning gun computer tablet, mobile printer, and scan documents printer.* Read and comprehend oral and written instructions and create emails at a basic to intermediate English level.* Add and subtract whole numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s; read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.* Deal with problems and issues involving some variation in standardized situations. * Carry out detailed written and oral instructions.* Basic knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; basic Google suite skills and experience with PLEX are a plus.* Advanced organizing and coordinating skills.1st Shift Hours: Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 2:30pm & Friday's 5:30am to 2:00 pm$18-21.00 per hour (Non-Exempt)
