Material Handler - 2Nd Shift Sign On Bonus Eligible!

Basic Scope/Purpose: Maintains warehouse area, by organizing and tracking material in all production phases. Makes sure that material is provided to meet production requirements. Prepares and maintains related summaries and document files. Participates in annual warehouse inventory audit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks with the use of hand trucks and forklifts.
• Receive all production material and packaging material into building using the computer inventory system.
• Coordinates incoming material approval process with the Quality Team.
• Performs issues and returns on all production material used in the pressroom.
• Maintains electronic inventory control system.
• Performs Weight Verification and dumps scrap material.
• Weigh and prepare scrap shipments for vendors.
• Label and store finished products in stores warehouse as orders are produced.
• Rewind material as called for in routings.
• Keep the warehouse neat and clean.
• Practice safety at all times
• Pull and prepare shipments for customers and vendors.
• Follow safe work practices and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Education and Experience Requirements/Preferences:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Skills & Physical Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with team.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
