POSITION SUMMARY

Provide Master Data and analytics support for AirLife. The position has responsibility for data assets related to Products and Vendors in order to improve and maintain timeliness and quality of data. As well, the position will provide reporting and analytics support for the Supply Chain team, and act as a central point for documentation, training, and support for all Master Data related functions. This role will also play a pivotal role in the development and continuous improvement of the Master Data team. Provides a centralized key role in the successful interaction between the work streams and regions.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

The specific minimum competencies needed to perform the essential duties of the job include knowledge, skills, abilities, level of education, and experience necessary for successful performance. These competencies are generally demonstrated through specific service, education, or training.

Knowledge:

  • Provide timely and accurate Master Data creation and maintenance per requestor submissions
  • Identify opportunities for improved accuracy and effectiveness of Master Data interactions
  • Demonstrate problem solving and analytical capabilities to investigate root cause of various issues and provide resolution.
  • Support decision making thru timely and accurate reporting.
  • Functions independently with minimal supervision.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Microsoft Excel Analysis and PowerQuery.
  • SQL Server Query required
  • PowerBI Report Building or something similar (i.e. Tableau, Insights)
  • ERP experience required. SAP, Dynamics GP, and SalesPad preferred.
  • The incumbent typically reports to the Master Data Manager within Supply Chain. The incumbent will be called upon as a subject matter expert in Master Data, and must be capable of providing training and support to all users in a way that is grounded in the business objectives.
  • Assist in creation and development of processes and solutions for Master Data management.
    • Including reports, templates, etc.
  • Assist in driving the strategic initiatives and leading in task management.
  • Define relevant descriptive data for assigned commodities.
  • Input relevant data for all products in the Material Master database.
  • Understand customer needs and provides customer service to all customers.
  • Using available resources to resolve customer questions and needs professionally.
  • Analyze Master Data for inefficiencies and gaps.
  • Conducting training as needed for material creation process

Level of Experience:

  • Three or more years of experience in data analysis or computer programming.
  • Experience working with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines in database warehousing and other relevant systems.

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field preferred.

Travel:

  • Travel not required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that must be performed on the job.

  • Manage the North American database as assigned to ensure accuracy and functionality in all areas of assigned responsibility. Reviews workflow requests for accuracy and completeness. Execute data processes in accordance with established process and data standards and procedures. Approves requests for creates and changes to Master Data.
  • Manage the RTC Tables as assigned to ensure accuracy and functionality in all areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Perform data enrichment activities in all areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert for their assigned domain.
  • Challenge existing practices and make recommendations concerning improvements to standardizing and streamlining processes.
  • Provide training assistance to internal customers as needed that deviate from established procedures.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to develop and refine system enhancements, data processes and metrics.
  • Execute test scripts to support new functionality and system upgrades.
  • Work collaboratively with Accounts Payable, ITS, Supply Chain Accounting, and other internal/external customers to assist in problem resolution.
  • Support the reporting needs of the business by providing data gathering and analytics support. Ensure that reporting is accurate, timely, and provides user flexibility and visibility.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of Master Data, reporting, and analytics.
  • Support business integration activities through collection, analysis, and preparation of Master Data in order to support a timely startup of accurate Master Data for the new business.
  • Communicate fully with superiors, subordinates, and other team members in a manner that is timely, complete, concise and responsive.
