Job Description
Position Intel:
The Marketing/PR Specialist reports to the Marketing Manager and is responsible for public relations support, digital marketing development and tracking, market research, social media marketing, and website updates and maintenance. The right individual will focus on both supporting the marketing needs of current clients and attracting prospective new patients to the physician’s practice.
Responsibilities:
Public Relations support
- Develop editorial and paid communications (press releases, media pitches, articles, advertorials)
- Managed continual outreach to physician-clients to mine stories and local media organizations.
- Use/optimize PR software platform: develop targeted media lists, research/monitor relevant coverage, create/send/track customized pitches to local media.
Copywriting and Online Presence management
- Write copy, optimized for local search, and update content on client websites.
- Make recommendations to clients regarding best practice on social media.
Email and SMS Marketing
- Constant Contact and SMS text campaigns on behalf of physician-clients (design, copy, A/B testing, deployment)
Graphic Design
- Create content for client websites, advertisements, promotion at events, social media, and more, adhering to each client’s brand standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, English, or a relevant field from a strong academic institution
- A minimum of three years of demonstrable success in media, marketing, journalism, or a related field
- Strong copywriting abilities
- Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to be successful in client facing role.
- Proficiency w/ WordPress, Constant Contact, Adobe Creative Cloud
- Less than one year of experience required
- Skilled in graphic design and applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud
- Email marketing experience highly desired
- Background working with email copywriting
- Foundational knowledge in Social Media Strategy
- Earlier work involving advertisement copywriting
- Practical knowledge of Media Campaigns
- Prior experience with Social Media Channels
- Copywriting experience highly preferred
- Social Media Initiatives experience required
- Adeptness in Social Media Trends
- Deep understanding of Constant Contact software
- General familiarity with Editorial Calendars
- Constant contact experience required
- Comprehension of social media
- Demonstrated knowledge of graphic design
