THE TEAM
Marketing Systems Strategy is a team of fast-moving technologists and consultants operating at the leading edge of the adtech/martech ecosystem. The team leads innovation, education and consultation across three primary pillars: internal systems, client systems and data strategy.
Marketing Systems Strategy asks for comfort with ambiguity, a desire for autonomy, enjoyment with developing new skills and knowledge and learning from other industry experts, and a desire to help others. Marketing Systems Strategy provides team members with the opportunity to drive team direction and flex entrepreneurial skills as needs change. Team members are comfortable managing workloads across multiple projects and account teams simultaneously and collaborating with multiple team members, while driving critical technical initiatives at the tip of the industry (data privacy, tracking, platform changes, etc.) that directly impact the direction of Napkyn services.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Leverage your combination of marketing strategy experience, technical expertise, and deep knowledge of media & data platforms platform to develop custom marketing activation solutions, designed to deliver incremental business impact
- Partner closely with client account leads & media delivery teams to proactively identify potential opportunities for clients to drive enhanced campaign performance
- Partner closely with business development team to support new business pitches
- Monitor industry trends and support development of POVs of the highest priority technical issues in the ecosystem
- Provide ideation and recommendations for internal products and workflow improvements
- Support evaluation and evangelization of new technologies and strategies resulting from technological and legislative changes
PROJECT EXAMPLES
- Partnering with client media, data & analytics teams to develop custom bidding algorithms leveraging combination of available client data & media data - all activated through media platform APIs
- Partnering with client media, data & analytics teams to enable custom MMM capabilities leveraging Kepler's internal MMM tools
- Partnering with client media, data & analytics teams to design automated data tracking & campaign operations workflows - aligned with clients' existing data stack
- Provide an internal review of a client team's tag architecture to identify issues or gaps, and develop recommendations to improve stability and introduce new targeting or attribution options
- Work with data science and client teams to develop documentation and process for existing tools, and identify areas for improvement
- Evaluate manual adjustments such as naming convention additions, URL parameter updating or tag wrapping and identify options to reduce "non-standard" work or develop automation
- Guide the integration of S2S/Conversion APIs
- Winning a battle with a complex Excel formula that just won't seem to do exactly what you need it to
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5+ years of experience within marketing and data systems
- Required: Deep experience in ad servers and/or buying platforms, programmatic ecosystem, tag management, measurement and analytics tools, and comfort with mid-senior level client communication
- Preferred but not required: knowledge of ad tech data systems, privacy initiatives, data management tools, general programming and computer science skills, especially JavaScript and HTML/CSS or cloud computing
- Interest and passion for ad tech, data architecture, complex, abstract problem solving, independent and consultative work, eagerness to learn and apply new concepts to challenging technical situations

We aim to offer competitive direct compensation and a rich indirect compensation program that demonstrates the value we place on our employees and their wellbeing.
Total Compensation:
- Base Salary: $85,000 - $106,300
- Target Annualized Discretionary Bonus: 10% ($8,500 - $10,600)
- Target Total Cash: $93,500 - $116,900
