As a Marketing Specialist, Dealer Communications you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic online tools and communication for Bobcat Company’s dealer network. In this role, you will manage content development for the Bobcat dealer channel. This includes annual and ongoing planning, aligning resources to execute plans, and working with internal stakeholders to develop strategic content that informs and educates dealers. Communication channels include but are not limited to email, web, video, webinar, event, in person and print.
Role & Responsibility
- Develop communication plans that inform and educate dealers to drive engagement and performance with recommended communication channels, timing, audience, and messaging based on tool capabilities, experience, judgment, and input from the marketing team and key stakeholders
- Develop clear, objective-driven content that gains attention, creates interest, informs, educates, and encourages action from dealers
- Ensure consistent & positive user experience within channels to ensure maximized clarity & ease-of-use
- Work with stakeholders across Bobcat to understand business objectives & impact on dealers; strategically plan solutions to convey the business objectives and move dealers to action
- Hold stakeholders accountable to agreed-upon tasks to ensure full projects are completed on time and within the expectations of the business
- Route drafted content through appropriate internal channels for approval
- Regularly edit content produced by other areas of the business to ensure it aligns with sound communication practices and dealer content strategy
- Work with marketing agencies to efficiently develop content to communicate messages in the most engaging way
- Manage the business’s dealer communication needs in a fast-paced environment
Job Requirement
- Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in marketing and/or communication
- Ability to build positive relationships & influence internal & external colleagues
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and drive efforts from start to finish
- Must know Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines and prioritize work effectively
- Demonstrates strong project management skills with the ability to lead and take direction to coordinate and project manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while engaging key stakeholders
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills to ensure projects are managed and completed in a reasonable time frame
- Takes initiative to proactively identify needs, process improvements and opportunities within the business/area of responsibility
