The Marketing Specialist II is a highly creative and organized individual who supports execution for Academic Medical Center (AMC) & Service Line (SL) marketing and communications on behalf of Mass General Brigham. This collaborative individual helps to coordinate dynamic, industry-leading marketing tactics for cancer.
The Marketing Specialist II helps to lead the development of the marketing plan and programmatic marketing plans for cancer. They will work as a liaison between clinical and administrative leaders and across the marketing team to assist with development of strategies, execute projects, adhere to timelines and budgets, and achieve objectives while measuring results. In addition to service line work, this individual will work to lead and create consistent templates, files and critical information across the Hospital and Specialty Marketing team.
The Specialist will report to the Marketing Director, at Mass General Brigham. This individual is comfortable working both independently and in project teams. This specialist has excellent strategic and leadership skills and superlative writing and analytical skills.
The Marketing Specialist II demonstrates elevated professionalism and judgment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Create programmatic marketing plans for Mass General Cancer Center strategic priorities
- Manage cancer patient story initiatives (including working with clinical teams to identify and communicate with patients, managing logistics of scheduling interviews, photo and video shoots, collaborating with Marketing Communications colleagues to ensure alignment, coordinating details of photo and video shoots, assisting with trafficking copy, photos, videos for reviews and approvals, etc.)
- Liaison with brand team to ensure adherence to brand guidelines
- Liaison with Network Development, Development, and Global Patient Service colleagues, and community location leads on cancer-related activities and initiatives
- Execute and implement marketing programs that support cancer and related initiatives.
- Provide optimization support, account management, creative execution, project management, budgeting, results and impact tracking of marketing programs for prioritized areas and initiatives.
- Manage scheduling and coordination of planning meetings internally and externally
- Strong writing and copyediting role to lead team edits, quality assurance
- Preparation and compilation of presentations utilizing PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other applications that support SL Marketing.
- Support execution of primary Marketing Plan, and execute programmatic marketing plans and all elements, upon approval
- Assists with correspondence and relationship management to internal and external clients
- Facilitates agenda planning and document distribution
- Helps improve workflow, operating efficiency, and service quality across SL marketing
Qualifications
- Three or more years of professional marketing experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree required

- Ability to prepare detailed presentations in multiple formats

- Sound judgment and sensitivity to confidential information
- Working Conditions:
- Work location can be onsite, work from home, or a hybrid
- Possible travel to Mass General Brigham sites
