The Mining Center of Excellence (MCOE) Creative ServicesMarketing Manager position serves as the marketing strategist and mining campaign gatekeeper, supporting the development of a communication plan and ensuring that marketing processes are administered per Caterpillar’s communication guidelines and philosophy. This person will act as counsel for MCOE and Internal and External Groups to develop marketing campaigns covering solutions and managing the implementation of these specific campaigns throughout the world. The Creative Marketing Manager is also responsible for the development and maintenance of the mining brand guide, including message tone, look and feel, and strategic positioning of Cat Mining. The Creative ServicesMarketing Manager will lead a team of marketing Subject Matter Experts (SME) covering digital, audio/visual, and project managers to support the development of content targeting our customers. The incumbent will promote the creation, enhancement, and development of marketing programs to promote Caterpillar product and service solutions covering diverse subjects impacting mining. Goals will include maintaining MCOE’s brand integrity and strategically positioning the company as a trusted partner able to provide the mining Industry with solutions impacting their bottom line while supporting their sustainability goals. This person will also oversee the integration of current product campaigns, new product introductions & internal marketing services to major events and make sure that Caterpillar’s Mining value message and customer strategic approach are part of the go-to-market communication plan.
What you will do:
Facilitate the development of a marketing strategy and oversee the development of marketing materials for Mining Solutions.
Developing, recommending, and implementing market research plans for key products and services; collaborating on brand positioning, databases, and direct response.
Developing strategic plans for the expansion of existing brands and development of new products or services; coordinating the implementation of plans.
Presenting overall marketing plans and strategic direction to senior management for funding approval and support.
Work with internal & external suppliers to develop a strong process to create materials for diverse mining channels.
What Skills you will have:
Service Excellence: Extensive experience in Marketing or Project Management.
Strategic Thinking: Good understanding of market forces, customer behavior, and marketing tools.
Effective Communications: Excellent presentation skills and ability to present to all levels of leadership. Strong communication skills for upwards, downward, and market communications.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants, and suppliers).
Top Candidates will also have:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business from an accredited university.
Previous Cat and/or Dealer Experience.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Information:
This position will be located in Peoria, IL, or Tucson, AZ.
This position requires up to 25% travel.
