Form of workThe University of New Mexico-Valenciainvites applicants for a new staff position, Marketing Manager. We are seekinga dynamic individual who can help to amplify the work of the college bycreating a clear and consistent thread through public relations, communicationsand marketing, and general outreach. UNM-Valencia has over 80 faculty and 2000students, with seven academic divisions representing a high number ofdisciplines, programs, research, as well as community engagement throughout NewMexico. This new position will provide UNM-Valencia with an identified staffmember to coordinate and synthesize its overall communication and marketingneeds to reach a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
This Marketing Manager will provide high-level management and coordination ofthe Campus' communications, strategic marketing, outreach, and representationin promotional materials, in print as well as via social media.Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Working directly with the administrative and leadership team to develop, manage, and lead communication plans and coordinated outreach to internal and external constituents;
- Leading, managing, and directing the development, implementation, and completion of strategic marketing and communication plans;
- Establishing, implementing, and monitoring short- and long-term marketing, communication, and outreach goals and objectives;
- Managing, leading, and supervising employee team and positions responsible for public relations, communications and marketing, and general outreach, to include work allocation, performance evaluation, coaching and training, and direct involvement in personnel actions;
- Planning, coordinating, and conducting direct outreach, marketing, and communication efforts to internal and external stakeholders;
- Overseeing, composing, designing, and editing promotional, recruitment, and marketing materials in various written, audio/visual, and social media.

Conditions of Employment- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree.
- Experience in coordinating, planning, and conducting media activities, special events, and marketing campaigns.
- Experience in current communications and marketing industry requirements and in developing and implementing communication and marketing strategies.
- Experience in a higher education setting.
- Project management experience
