SALARY: The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000.

We are seeking a Marketing Manager to assist our Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the legal field and have demonstrated proficiency utilizing our Firm’s applications. This position will report to the Director of Marketing.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
- Execute a wide variety of marketing and business development projects as described below:
- Manage various firm sponsorships for practice groups and individual attorneys.
- Plan and execute attorney speaking engagements, panels, webinars, client events, seminars, and conferences. Support attorney presentations (e.g., creation of presentations and related collateral materials). Run internal and external webinars from inception to conclusion, including audio-visual / technology aspects.
- Produce marketing, business development, and other events for clients, prospects and friends of the firm—including venue selection, contract negotiation, catering arrangements, distribution of invitations, presentation support, and selection and purchase of gifts and promotional items.
- Maintain sponsorships to ensure firm is receiving all benefits.
- Assist the Director of Marketing with public relations projects (e.g., Chambers and Legal 500 rankings proposals; “Best Places to Work” submissions).
- Manage submissions for Rankings/lists: WTR 1000, Seramount Survey, Super Lawyers, Crain’s Best Places to Work.
- Administer Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs and ensure compliance with State CLE board rules—including preparation of agendas, sign-in sheets, and substantive handouts; and distribution of certificates.
- Independently manage and update firm website and social media channels in support of public relations and marketing strategy.
- Update firm intranet (i.e., firm news and CLE tabs).
- Maintain Passle, the firm blog platform. Set up new users, provide training, analyze readership data, and generate reports.
- Direct and oversee development, maintenance and revision of collateral materials (e.g., practice group descriptions, attorney biographies, and promotional pieces).
- Draft and publish in-house marketing communications and participate in firm-wide marketing meetings with attorneys.
- Assist in tracking return-on-investment of firm marketing efforts. Follow-up with attorneys to understand the success of their efforts at—and after—marketing and business development events.
- Oversee and update marketing mailing databases (ContactEase and Constant Contact).
- Design and oversee production of advertisements and signage.
- Field and route prospective client communications to appropriate attorneys.
- Build and manage relationships, and negotiate contracts, with outside vendors and external contractors.
- Oversee the schedule of photo sessions for attorneys and staff working with our photographer.
- Manage Marketing Coordinator and other staff.
- Assist Director of Marketing with other tasks as assigned.
SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (writing sample and cover letter required).
- Ability to communicate and interact with internal staff, attorneys, management and external clients of the firm.
- Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively organize responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently (i.e., with minimal oversight).
- Strong Interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Willingness to travel when required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in law firms[DO6] .
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Constant Contact, Canva, CE Manager, ContactEase (or a similar CRM program), Expression Engine (or a similar CMS tool), Google Analytics, iManage, Webex, Zoom. Social Media Applications: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and Threads.
