- Administrative duties such as filing, copying, faxing, phone duties, and running errands.
- Draft basic marketing and public relations materials including news releases, media alerts, fax sheets, and web copy.
- Maintain the print and digital media asset library.
- Support various media activities (photoshoots, video shoots, red carpets, and press tours) and arrangements as outlined by department staff.
- Research special projects including historical items.
- Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Perform street-team-related tasks including, but not limited to, hanging posters, distributing flyers,etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program studying Music Business, Business, Communications, or other related fields
Experience:
- Previous experience in promotions, events planning, publicity, band management, or public relations is a plus
- Experience with MS Word and Excel
- Excellent research and writing skills; a writing sample will be required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good judgment and decision-making skills along with discretion
- Interest and background in social media a plus
