Position Description - Marketing Intern
Broad Description of Duties:
The Marketing Intern opportunity offers students seeking a degree in marketing exposure to the business world and provides a meaningful work experience opportunity. The Marketing team works with multiple departments within the Theatre Division to create engaging programs that will drive customer loyalty, overall revenue for the company, and brand recognition.
This position reports to the SVP of Marketing.
Essential Functions/Job Duties:

• Work with the Social Media Marketing team to manage various social media platforms and develop meaningful content to drive engagement;

• Assist the studio relations team with the creation, coordination, and evaluation of promotions to boost movie attendance.

• Closely work with the loyalty team to assist in creating compelling content for the Magical Movie Rewards program;
• Work with the team to analyze market data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies;
• Collaborate with multiple departments (Sales, Operations, Film) to ensure guest needs are met;

• All other duties as assigned by the SVP of Marketing;

Job Requirements:
• Travel to Marcus theatre locations and to company functions and meetings as required;
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills;
• A highly motivated and strategic thinker who takes initiative to learn and contribute to the team;
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities to meet all deadlines;
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand and walk occasionally. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Work is performed in a theatre or remote environment. The noise level is usually low to moderate with an occasional loud environment. Education Required:

• Preference given to those pursuing a degree in Marketing;
• Completed coursework in one or more of the following: marketing communications, public relations, advertising, or business writing;
• Prior Marketing experience is a plus but not necessary;
