John Ball Zoo is looking for a creative and energetic Graphic Designer to join the Marketing team for the summer. Work on a variety of projects from largescale prints to digital promotions. Experience a fast-paced, collaborative, and creative environment working with other designers and multiple departments. Grow your skills in organization, balancing projects, and visual storytelling. Essential Duties
- Reporting to the Creative Manager, the Marketing & Graphic Design Intern will have the following responsibilities:
- Create Graphic Design assets for internal and external zoo needs.
- Collaborate with the Events Team to create graphics for 10 – 15 special events including but not limited to wayfinding signs, guest maps, and promotional graphics.
- Complete monthly zoo-wide sign audits.
- Update the Zoo’s website weekly including but not limited to the daily blog, photos, and interactive map.

Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a relevant college program. ex. Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, etc
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively and appropriately with coworkers, supervisors, managers and members of the general public with a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Working knowledge with Graphic Design software (Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Illustrator, & Photoshop).
- Proficiency with Apple products including a MacBook Pro.
- May 28th - August 18th
- Hourly pay with 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks, and a maximum of 12 weeks
