POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsible for copywriting all 360 degree marketing copy including, but not limited to, website, social, email, packaging and point of sale.
Marketing Copywriter is part of a collaborative team that establishes the brand voice for the Natural Brand Channel: DERMA E and THINKSUN. This role may be asked to assist as needed with copy for brands in the Science channel Clarity, Replenix and Dr. Zenovia.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creative Copywriting: Develop creative, engaging, and persuasive copy for marketing channels including websites, social media, email campaigns, advertisements, product descriptions, and more.
- Brand Voice Development: Assist in developing both of the brands tone of voice and messaging hierarchy, ensuring alignment with targeted audiences and platforms. Maintain consistency in brand voice across all communications.
- SEO Collaboration: Work closely with the digital team to ensure that copy meets SEO standards, optimizing content for improved search engine visibility.
- Campaign Messaging: Generate new and compelling campaign messaging for product launches and seasonal promotions, aligning with brand objectives and customer interests.
- Copy Review and Refinement: Review and refine copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, adherence to brand guidelines, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Deadline Management: Manage deadlines for all copy projects, from concept development to final approval and proofreading, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project timelines.
- Regulatory Compliance: Write independently while adhering to regulatory guidelines provided by the Legal Team, remaining flexible and receptive to feedback.
- Content Library Maintenance: Establish and maintain a well-organized library of approved, on brand copy for use by other teams and departments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, creative, and product development teams to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
- Customer Facing Communication: Assist the customer service & community management teams with official responses for common questions/concerns.
- Market Research: Conduct research to deepen understanding of product benefits, ingredients, and target audience preferences. Stay informed about competitors and industry trends.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the marketing team and company.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Degree in Communications, Marketing Communications or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5+ years of copywriting & content creation experience, either in-house for a brand or at an agency. Experience within Beauty, Skin Care, or other Personal Care industry preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading / copy editing skills
- Knowledge of SEO and search tools a plus
- Well-versed experience in writing copy for product, marketing collateral, POP/POS, websites, email marketing, social media and more — and know how to change and adapt copy for each of these platforms

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
