Who We Are Looking For:
The New York office opened in early 2016. The office is now located in the famed Starrett-Lehigh Building, on 26th Street in between 11th Avenue and the West Side Highway. The office focuses on a wide range of project types and services including sports and entertainment venues, theatre and performing arts, aviation, convention centers, hospitality, mixed-use projects and interior design. It is an office founded on critical thinking and an ability to leverage digital technologies in service of exceptional design. Populous’ New York office is a dynamic and growing group with a wide-range of skills and experience.
Populous is seeking a full-time Marketing Coordinator to join our marketing team. Our preferred candidate will have polished skills in written and verbal communications and the ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment. They will also display a passion for quality, creative work with strong skills in the Adobe Creative Suite. The best candidate will be self-motivated and directed, and eager to learn within a fun, collaborative atmosphere!
Our preferred candidate will have prior experience in the AEC industry, and an interest in working in a dynamic global design environment with a diverse range of public assembly building types, including sports venues, convention centers, and transportation facilities.
What Your Day Could Consist Of:
- Write, design, and prepare materials for high quality, successful proposals, qualifications, and interview decks.
- Manage the proposal process to ensure that firm experience and qualifications are accurately communicated and adhere to graphic and brand standards.
- Work closely with market leaders to identify leads and maintain client relationships through meetings, events, and conferences.
- Support communications, public relations, content marketing and brand strategy through coordination, writing, and event planning.
- Maintain project leads and client contacts through Microsoft Dynamics (CRM)
- Research global and industry-wide trends, competitors, target clientele, projects and developments, potential markets, and political and economic environments
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements For Success:
- Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign experience is required for this role; additional Creative Suite experience is helpful, but not required.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience is required.
- Microsoft Dynamics experience helpful, but not required.
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, technical writing, and creative writing as well as proofreading and editing.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task/manage multiple projects simultaneously and achieve successful results within project deadlines.
- Positive attitude, resourceful nature, and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Marketing and/or Communications field, preferably in Architecture, Engineering or Construction industries.
- Proven work history in an office or similar environment.
Additional details:
- Travel may be required.
- Ability to work outside of scheduled hours to meet deadlines with advance notice.
Compensation:
- The projected salary range for this opportunity is $64,000- $78,000 annually and may be more or less depending on skills, experience, and education.
