Marketing Coordinator

Schedule:
Full-Time, M-F regular business hours
Location: Remote, United States or Hybrid in Beaverton, OR
FLSA Status: Exempt (Salary)
Reports To: Head of Sales
Department: Sales
Pay Range: $55,000 - $65,000

Position Overview

STAR Autism Support (SAS) is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to implement marketing strategies that help us successfully reach and positively impact a larger group of students and educators around the globe. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for implementing digital marketing campaigns, coordinating conference logistics, and supporting the Sales team with a variety of operational tasks. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our marketing department by implementing process improvements and expanding the audience of SAS’s brand message.

Key responsibilities

  • Digital Marketing:
    Plan, create, and distribute all digital marketing campaigns in collaboration with content specialists, including newsletters, product release notices, and social media posts; ensuring a timely delivery of all initiatives
  • Asset Management: Develop and maintain a shared storage system of all internal and external marketing assets (i.e. letterhead, brand guidelines, logos, mailing lists, newsletter templates, flyers, etc.) in a way that is easily understood and accessible to all stakeholders
  • Promotional Materials: Manage promotional materials by coordinating requirements with graphics department, keeping inventory of materials, placing orders, and verifying receipt as necessary
  • Web Content Management: Responsible for keeping the most up-to-date information about STAR’s product and services on the company website as well as on other marketing platforms and materials
  • Reporting: Prepares periodic marketing reports for a variety of stakeholders by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales and lead data
  • Market Research: Maintains research on competitive products by collecting and summarizing characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases
  • Event Planning: Coordinates logistics of conferences and trade shows including registration, scheduling, travel coordination, mailing lists, special events planning, communicating requirements to internal and external stakeholders, and preparing any necessary promotional materials
  • CRM Database: Maintains database of customer profiles through the CRM (Salesforce) and prepares periodic activity reports for the Sales team
  • Internal Communications: Collaborates with other departments to ensure that marketing initiatives are successful; updates internal stakeholders about ongoing marketing initiatives and key performance indicators
  • External Communications: Support customers on a variety of needs including troubleshooting website or account issues; respond to social media messages and comments; manage organization’s general email inbox
  • Webinars: Coordinate and plan free monthly marketing webinars to promote increased customer engagement with STAR products and services
  • Lead Management: Identify and assign appropriate sales team members for qualification and follow up of leads generated by marketing initiatives
  • Customer Feedback: Responsible for organizing, streamlining, and maintaining repository (Airtable) of all customer product and services feedback to allow for ongoing analysis; including conducting generative customer research surveys and periodic NPS surveys
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related marketing and/or sales operations experience
  • 1+ years of events programming and/or coordination
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Marketing, Business, Communications, etc.); or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in education or SaaS industries preferred but not required
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms
  • Experience in copywriting, proofreading, graphic design, or website management a plus
  • Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce), marketing software tools (MailChimp, Loomly, Constant Contact, Page Proof), graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud), or database tools (Airtable) a plus

Capability Requirements

  • Travel requirement up to 20% to national conferences and customer events
  • Ability to type and look at a computer screen for up to 8 hours daily required
  • Work collaboratively and independently in a remote workforce environment
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or qualifies for an accommodation
