Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Marketing and Communications Specialist for the College of Health at Oregon State University (OSU).
The Marketing and Communications team in the College of Health is currently seeking one (1) student worker to design marketing pieces (fliers, digital signage, graphics, etc.) and create social media graphics and/or content. Typical hours will be 12-20 hours per week, and your work-schedule will be flexible.

Position Duties
  • Design fliers, digital signage, graphics, etc.
  • Work with the Social Media Lead to create and plan content and graphics.
  • Follow TikTok, Instagram and Facebook best practices for style and length of content.
  • Follow OSU brand guidelines.
  • Assist with other digital media and marketing projects.

  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Additional Required Qualifications
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Collaborative
  • Positive, energetic, engaging
  • Strong design skills
  • Strong verbal skills
  • Willingness to share personal student experiences.
  • Own and be willing to use a smart phone able to take short videos.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications
  • Comfortable and confident being on camera
  • Active personal accounts on Instagram and TikTok
  • Demonstrated experience with short- and long-form videos
  • Experience with digital video editing tools, particularly Adobe Premiere
  • Experience with animation
  • Strong writing skills
  • Own a computer and be willing to use it for this position.
